baby boy's

A couple of my friends are having babies this year and two of them had theirs last month. So needless to say I have been keeping my sewing machine busy making their baby blankets. My go to blanket for the past couple of years has been blankets this style...

I love sewing these fun blankets and backing them with minky, they are quick and easy to make.

But I have a different feel for this year and in one word,  PATCHWORK.
To kick it off, I made this fun quilt top after my friend told me she is having a boy in June and said I have free rein over her blanket. I was so happy because I was itching to make something out of the mustache, grey and yellow fabrics. This was the perfect quilt top to start my patchwork craze..

I just love how this turned out!

Its not yet finished but I will show pictures once it's done.

Now on to this beauty..... I am just as excited with how this turned out as my mustache quilt...
                                                                          hehehehe
my other friend is having a boy as well, so based on the colors she gave me I pulled this one together. I am really loving how this all pulled together... Too bad I have to give both these quilts away, they are too cute I want to keep them for myself.

this one I did get done, since her baby has arrived but I'll share it with you another time.
