Do you need a last minuet holiday gift? these quick and easy coasters are just that. We first did this tutorial HERE, but wanted to updated it since it has been quite popular also include some new photo's.
First....
pick out 5 favorite fabrics measuring 5"x5" or use pre-cut charms
Next....

Take out 1 of the squares that you will be using for the bottom piece. With the other 4 iron to make a triangle.
Then...

Take one ironed triangle and place on the raw edge of the bottom piece.
Repeat....
With your next triangle, lining up the edges together
Again...
With the 3rd triangle
Last...

With the 4th triangle. Now you have all fabric used, you just need to lift up the last triangles side to bring the back fabric forwards so all fabric are showing.
Does it look like this?....
Now pin all 4 sides together....
love these adorable straight pins? get them here!
Sew....
around all 4 sides with 1/4 inch seam. Once done snip the corners. Turn inside out through the middle (not pictured)
Iron....

Down nice and your done! (ironing board cover provided by city chic country mouse)
Your are done! hope you en "joy"

now go make your own...

How simple! And cute as can be!
love it, I've seen it before from a friend sending a link a while ago, maybe that was yours, I've also seen it with rectangles, works the same way I assume.... I want to try these!
I made a whole bunch of these this morning and they are such fun. The only change I made was that I top stitched around the edge once they were done.
Now I want to buy a zillion charm packs and make them for everyone. LOL.
Thanks for a really great tutorial - I read them both to figure out that 3rd triangle placement. Tricky!
Warmly,
Nicole
