Quick tip Monday-when to change your sewing machine needle

Do you ever wonder when you should change your sewing machine needle? I often wonder this, and it's usually too late. My needle either brakes or messes up my machine. Here is the perfect solution. Wind up 10 bobbins with the thread you most use (probably white) once you have gone through all 10 bobbins, it's time to change your needle.

This tip is so good, and will help me remember to change my needle before it's too late! Hope you use it too...

Wow, that is a great tip, I'm always wondering that myself. I'm guessing it's been a lot longer than 10 bobbins' worth of thread, so I probably should change mine tonight :-)

That is a more helpful tip than changing your needle every time you start a new project, b/c som projects are big, and some are small. Thanks for sharing!

AWESOME! I always wonder when the right time to change my needle is, I heard that its every time I start a new project but some projects are so little! I would go through a needle a day! Thanks so much for the tip!

That is a good tip! I have a hard time keeping track though because I sew quilts and aprons (out of heavier fabric) so I'm always switching the type of needle anyways...I just have to remember which ones I'm using for the first time or reusing!
