Aloha from Hawaii...

We jumped a plane a few days ago and surprised my family with our arrival home to visit.  It was a spur of the moment trip for us as well, but when a good price comes along on airfare its hard to pass up. Plus after the past year we had we needed some much needed down time.

My husband is doing so much better and has been able to gain 35 lbs since being discharged at 114 lbs back in September. He is getting back to a normal life and even trimmed my mom's trees today!!!!!

We were so happy to hear back in November that he is done with followup checks up's down in Cali and only needs to do blood test every few months with his doctor in town.

We are enjoying our time with family but don't worry my sister is cutting and shipping orders. She's having fun working the shoppe while were gone!

I will still be answering convo's, posting new fabric and setting up reserved listings. There is a big time difference now, so please be patient and I will try to check msg throughout the day. oh and blog of course.

as you can tell from this awesome picture, I'm definitely not in Vegas anymore..

this is the view I see of the ko'olau mountains range from my kitchen table every morning as I sit and eat my fresh Hawaiian papaya for breakfast.


have you ever had a fresh Hawaiian papaya? if not you are totally missing out! these are by far the best tasting papayas in the WORLD. This will be my breakfast every morning for the next 3 weeks.

As you can tell, I'm not in the desert anymore and now in lush, beautiful and GREEN Hawaii. We're actually back home in Hawaii visiting family for our annual Hawaii trip and I couldn't be more happier!

I want to let you know that our shoppe is open and orders are shipping, convos and checking on fabric yardage will have a bit of a delay time but other than that everything is normal. I will return back to Vegas, Feb 22 and look forward to all the fun new fabric arrivals, to share.

A must see while in Hawaii...

While in Hawaii you MUST visit Fabric Mart. There are many locations on Oahu and the other islands but my 2 favorites are the Kaneohe Location (45-681 Kam Hwy.Kaneohe, HI 96744 and the Aiea location (98-023 Hekaha St. HarborCenter Bldg. #1-1 Aiea, HI 96701 where all the below photos are from) Go HERE for other locations.

Fabric Mart is the biggest fabric shop on the island where you can find the largest selcetion of hawaiian print fabric.


They also have a wide range of home decor fabrics and some specialty, like these rose textured fabrics.

If you are looking for designer cottons like the ones I carry in my shoppe from designers like Amy Butler and Patty Young then Fabric mart is not the place for you. They don't carry modern designer fabrics, however they do have a good selection of Japanese imports like these adorable fabrics.






I also found tons of different prints in the popular Hello Kitty brand, so cute I want to get some for my shoppe.



While on your trip to Hawaii take some time out from the beach and head on over to one of the many locations and have fun looking!
