I'm so excited to introduce you to Abby from OrangePeel Baby
If I could describe her in 5 words they would be,

crafty

mom
creative
cousin

Yes, that right she is my cousin.

Although we were raised more than 2000 miles apart and only saw each other during summer vacations our love of fabric, sewing and all around crafty-ness has brought us together.

She is very talented and her creations show it off. Abby has a awesome shop on etsy where she sells her beautiful quilts and creations.

here are some of those adorable items

She is here today to share with us a super easy and adorable webbing belt for our little ones.
she used Echino Nico stitched webbing.

here's Abby.....

Greetings, Poppyseed Fabric Fans.  As soon as I saw this webbing I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it, and since it actually worked, I wanted to share with you how to make a fantastically easy webbing belt.  Really, this is about a 5 minute project.  FAB.  Gather your goodies: I used this delightful raspberry webbing, some matching (ish) thread, and some 1 inch D rings (got mine at Joanns but they should have them at just about any craft store, as well as all over etsy).

Measure the waist your belt is destined to adorn and add 3-4".  Seal off each end of the webbing so it won't fray.  You could use fray check,  I just used a match.

Then you're going to slide your D rings onto one end like so:

Fold the edge of the webbing over them both, maybe about an inch.
Here's where a zipper foot will really come in handy.  If you have one it lets you sew a little closer to the rings.  If not, no worries, just sew as close to the rings as your foot will let you.  Be sure to backstitch at both ends.

Voila.

My model didn't want to hold still and model, but you get the idea.

Got boys? There are a few "manlier" ways to close this belt.  I picked up these super simple strap adjusters. Same drill but instead of sewing on two D rings you just slip one strap adjuster on one end of the webbing and sew.

Boy approved.  Looks like he really needed a belt, too.

Pretty simple and so fun...enjoy!
