it's been a while since my last post, i've been busy getting back into the swing of things. being away for 3 weeks means you have some catching up to do, not to mention taking a little break from being on break.. But i'm back and so excited about sharing with you what has arrived the last couple of days. have you seen these?

Happy Valentines day
Before I left for my trip I made my hubby who was staying behind a early valentines day gift. Nothing says I love you like a Chocolate Beet Cake. (right?)
I found this recipe in the costco connection magazine that came in January and since I had some beets laying around that needed to be used before I left, I thought this would be a good treat.
Overall the cake was easy to make and good, not too sweet but it was bit dense and heavy in texture. It was a good try for my first beet cake. The fruits on top which I added was a good touch it not only made it pretty but nice to eat together.
If anyone has some beets laying around and want to try this, here is the link.
HAVE A GREAT VALENTINES DAY....

......i'm not in vegas anymore
as you can tell from this awesome picture, I'm definitely not in Vegas anymore..
this is the view I see of the ko'olau mountains range from my kitchen table every morning as I sit and eat my fresh Hawaiian papaya for breakfast.
have you ever had a fresh Hawaiian papaya? if not you are totally missing out! these are by far the best tasting papayas in the WORLD. This will be my breakfast every morning for the next 3 weeks.
mmm, so delicious.....
As you can tell, I'm not in the desert anymore and now in lush, beautiful and GREEN Hawaii. We're actually back home in Hawaii visiting family for our annual Hawaii trip and I couldn't be more happier!
I mean check out this view!!!!
I want to let you know that our shoppe is open and orders are shipping, convos and checking on fabric yardage will have a bit of a delay time but other than that everything is normal. I will return back to Vegas, Feb 22 and look forward to all the fun new fabric arrivals, to share.
