ORANGE YOU GLAD....
This quilt is entirely made up of greys and oranges, which I think makes a awesome combo!
This awesome quilt was so easy and fun to make. I found this pattern out of a old Fons and Porter's quilt magazine, back from Fall 09, it's titled Easy quilts -18 quick projects. The name of the quilt is called Serendipity. I tried to go onto their website and link it but could not find it anywhere. It's seems to have been removed.. :(
This quilt is made up of 5 different prints many of these prints are either sold out or discontinued but here they all are for references.
SPOTTED OWL SMOKE -Alexander Henry
BLOOM GREY - Paula prass
HUEVOS GREY - Michael miller
ZEN GARDEN SHERBET - patty young
CIRCLES ON ORANGE - Lizzy house
The back is pieced using metro circles orange for half and dot n square for the other half. Sandwiched between these two pieces is a pieced bordered strip using the same fabric left overs from the front.
It's quilted using a wonky square free motion designed that I first had seen over on Oh Fransson. I loved the look from the start. Mine is a big more wonky then hers, since I'm still a newbie at free motion quilting, but I love the look none the less.
details:
measurements: 54" x 72"
5 fabrics used
pieced backing
binding: holly jolly polka dot grey
quilted: free motion wonky squares by me
