Rose cuddle Baby Blanket tutorial
We love how easy this baby receiving blanket is to make, any beginner or advanced sewer will find this fast and fun. We have put together this tutorial to go along with our Rose Cuddle blanket kits that you can purchase HERE.
Here we go!
First, when you purchase a kit from us you will get 2 fabrics either the girl kit or the boy. (this one is the boy)
Your going to want to cut off the selvage
(if your like us, we keep our selvages to use for another project)
Go ahead and iron out the crease from the fold
Lay out your pieces right side together with the rose cuddle on the bottom
Should look like this
Your going to sew all around the 4 sides, leaving a opening for turning. Pin all around the sides so the fabrics don't shift. Don't forget your opening.
Sew around 4 sides about 1.5-2 inches in from edge
If there is extra fabric hanging over, go ahead and cut some off
Cut the 4 corners, so there not bulky when you turn it
Go ahead and pull the blanket right side out through the opening
gently push out the corners, on all sides
Iron along all 4 sides to help your top fabric sit nice
Now take your opening
Pin it closed
and sew around the side to close the opening.
Your done! trust us your little one will not let this blanket go, it is the softest most cuddliest blanket there is. Don't believe us check out my daughter snuggling which I was trying to take some pictures.
