$25 craigslist find...can't get any better
For months I have been searching for a hanging quilt rack to hang my quilts as well as use as a display board. For months I struggled to find one in my price range, size and look I wanted. FINALLY one day on craigslist, I just happened to type in the search box quilt rack and a posting popped up for $25 for a 70 inches hanging quilt rack!!!!! I could not believe it.. I called right away and drove 20 min to pick it up...[score!!!!]
I bought it from a couple who had it sitting in there garage for YEARS because she didn't quilt or had the room to hang it. WHAT A DEAL! so this thing is supper long, I mean 70 inches it's huge.. and I love it. The best part is I asked if they had anymore and they DID. The husband, was using a standing quilt rack to hang his pants on.. He let me have it for $5, which made me even more happy since I was also looking for a standing one as well..
Craigslist is a hit or miss, but this day was a HIT...thanks you craigslist Gods...

Giving my sewing machine a rest...
Is exsactly what I did last weekend as I'm learning to knit. I wanted to start something fairly easy and what could be more easy then a scarf. It originally started out to be a scarf for my husband but as I was making it, I realized that the width was fitted better for a child.
It's a little wonky but overall a great attempt.
I found this scarf with a tutorial and I pinned it, HERE if anyone wants to start to knit.
I found a better scarf for my husband which includes 3 different colors. It's turning out to be a challenge adding in the different colors and isen't perfect, but I know he will love it. Show you the end result soon! but if you want to make one too, it's pinned HERE.

"Circles" strip quilt DONE!
We first sneeked you all a peak of the circles strip quilt HERE then another peek HERE . We are happy to say this quilt project is now done, and we are so happy with the way it turned out!
We took all of our favorite prints out of this collection and cut them into different sizes, we also added in some solids to break up the circles.
I used some of my little one's stickers and marked them with the numbers for my rows so I made sure not to get my order mixed. After my top was all put together, I decided I wanted to quilt the top a bit before I attached it to my rose cuddle backing. I found this tutorial on pinterest on making a no binding quilt, which I really liked because you still can quilt the top.
I just did some straight line quilting randomly on some of the strips, which added some design and texture.
I then sewed my top and bottom right sides together leaving a opening for turning. Oh course I used rose cuddle minky and totally love it!
details:
fabric top- metro living circles
backing- frosted rose cuddle in brown
measures- 38" x 46"
